Superior Machine Co. of S.C., Inc. (Superior) announces Andrew (Andy) Akers joins the company.

Andy, a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas, is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from N.C. State University.  He also holds a M.B.A. from Texas State University.

Andy brings both steel mill operations and steel making equipment supply experience to the company.  

Andy was most recently with ArcelorMittal as the Georgetown, S.C. Melt Shop & Refractory Manager.   Prior to ArcelorMittal, he was a Strategic Analyst with Commercial Metals Company (CMC) in Seguin, Texas.

Andy was previously employed by FUCHS Systems, Inc. as a Mechanical Designer; Mechanical Engineer and as a Proposal Engineer.
